You can buy edible ink cartridges and edible paper to make your own fun cake decorations.   Great for birthdays and any special occasion as well as giving your christmas cake that personal touch. You can make your own edible photos, or submit your photo to an online supplier of edible photos. What you will need A separate printer that can use edible ink cartridges. DO NOT USE THE SAME PRINTER for edible ink cartridges and ordinary ink printing.  Ordinary inks are toxic and you don't want to risk cross-contamination.  Edible ink cartridges are available for a range of Canon and Epson printers.  For a Canon printer, look for a printer which uses one of the following cartridges:  BCI-24BK, BCI-24C, BCI-3, BCI-6, PGI-5 and CLI-8.  Printers which use the CLI-8 cartridges include the Canon pixma IP4300 photo printer, the Canon Pixma MP600 printer/scanner/copier Epson printers which can be used with edible ink are the D68, D88, DX3800, DX3850, DX4200, DX4800 and DX4850 Edible ink cartridges.  Remember that ordinary printer ink is NOT edible.  You will need to buy special edible ink cartridges.
