Don't worry, this beginners computing course starts right at the beginning. 

  • It explains how to use a mouse, what you can see on the screen and introduces you gently to some basic jargon. 
  • It then teaches you basic word-processing functions such as text appearance (size, font, bold, italic, underline) and text alignment. 
  • It explains how to save, print and open documents. 
  • How to turn off the computer. 
  • How to alter the margins of your page and change the page from portrait to landscape.
  • When you feel confident to produce a letter you then move on to using WordArt and ClipArt to add some fun to your documents.
  • The course progresses to designing a poster and then to producing a leaflet. 
  • There is a module on the use of document templates and using the computer to print envelopes and labels.

This course is for Windows XP (or earlier) and Word 2003/XP/2000 users.
